Ashui.com

Festival Kiến trúc Thế giới (World Architecture Festival - WAF) đã công bố danh sách rút gọn (shortlist) cho Giải thưởng năm 2014, với gần 300 dự án cạnh tranh trong chương trình giải thưởng kiến trúc lớn nhất thế giới. 

Trong danh sách có những tên tuổi lớn như Zaha Hadid Architects, OMA, Foster + Partners, BIG, Woods Bagot, KPF, Farrells, Perkins + Will and Aedas, bên cạnh các đơn vị khác nhỏ hơn. Danh sách này gồm các công ty từ hơn 50 quốc gia, năm nay có một sự gia tăng đáng chú ý từ châu Á - với số lượng các dự án ở Trung Quốc, Malaysia và Việt Nam tăng tương ứng 87%, 71% và 140% so với năm ngoái (Việt Nam có 14 dự án lọt vào danh sách này).  

Các dự án lọt vào danh sách rút gọn sẽ được trình bày trực tiếp bởi các kiến trúc sư trước hội đồng giám khảo quốc tế. Sau đó, các dự án chiến thắng của 27 thể loại sẽ chọn ra Công trình Thế giới của năm hay Dự án tương lai của năm, được đánh giá bởi "siêu bồi thẩm đoàn" gồm Richard Rogers, Rocco Yim, Julie Eizenberg, Enric Ruiz Geli và Peter Rich. 

Festival Kiến trúc Thế giới năm nay sẽ được tổ chức một lần nữa tại Marina Bay Sands - Singapore, từ ngày 01-03/10/2014.
