Two French town located in Hanoi have been entrusted by the IMV to update the database of socio-economic Institute of Urban and Rural Planning in the Hanoi area and provide a cartographic representation foreshadowing Regional GIS (mapinfo format). The work has led to a state of demographic, environmental and socio-economic development of the Region across every province and demographic data at the district level, illustrated by more than 40 cards. These data for the first time enabled the Vietnamese planners a better understanding of local conditions within the regional scope.
