Who we are:
UNDP is the UN's global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. We are on the ground in 166 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. As they develop local capacity, they draw on the people of UNDP and our wide range of partners. What we do: For 30 years, UN Development Programme (UNDP) has had a strong partnership with the people and government of Viet Nam. At UNDP Viet Nam we continue to provide critical support in the areas of Democratic Governance, Poverty Reduction, Crisis Prevention and Recovery, Energy and Environment and HIV/AIDS, while ensuring recent economic growth improves the living standards of all Vietnamese people. We work to encourage human rights and discourage increasing disparities based on gender, wealth, location, ethnicity, health and more. Where we work: In line with Viet Nam’s needs and priorities, as well as UNDP’s reform process, UNDP Viet Nam is moving evn further into upstream advisory and capacity building assistance for pro-poor policy and institutional development.
